What We Provide

Compensation

  • 55% commission on services plus 15% commission on retail when earned commision is under $4,000 in two-week pay period

  • 60% commission on services plus 25% commission on retail when earned commission is $4,000 or greater

  • Our top stylist earned just shy of $144,000 in 2022 while our average annual compensation was just above $80,000 for our full-time stylists.

  • 401(K) savings program with 1% match from Goldie x Bob. For an employee making $80K/yr and contributing 1% to their 401(K), that’s about a $800 tax-deferred bonus yearly from Goldie x Bob.

  • No back bar/color charges

  • 15% commission on retail (25% when threshold target met)

  • Dyson dryer supplied by Goldie x Bob

  • 50% off retail product for stylist personal purchase

  • 50% health plan premium contribution.

  • Three medical insurance plan choices from UnitedHealthCare

  • Vision and dental plans

  • Short-term/long-term disability insurance

  • $25 gift certificate on your birthday and $50 for every year you have worked with us on your anniversary. Two long-time stylists receives over $500 each year on their anniversary. Beats a single gold watch at retirement!

What Happens Next?

  • Submit your application of interest here

  • We will acknowledge receipt

  • Our Lead Stylist/Creative Director will review your application

  • In the event we’re not currently a match, you will be informed

  • Upon initial acceptance, you will be contacted for an interview with our Lead Stylist

  • Upon further acceptance, you will meet (virtually or in-person) one or both owners

  • Upon mutual agreement that it’s a great fit, you will meet with the full team via Zoom

  • Any one stylist may make a case to veto an applicant. So, no pressure!

  • Upon team endorsement, you will be offered a great job and future at Goldie x Bob

About Us

Goldie x Bob has a family vibe with a really great group of talented stylists and the stability of a new 10-year lease with expanding opportunities for senior stylists that are operating at near their peak and just want a better work/life balance, better benefits, and more income for the same or less effort and stress currently being expended. Goldie x Bob is the first of two other distinct brands under common ownership:

Twig Hair Salon, a 22-chair salon, is known as "A Boulder Institution" and now has our customer's children's children coming to have their hair cut and colored by all walks of life that Boulder has to offer.

BarberX was featured in a live segment of Fox31’s Morning News program and is one of the very few barbershops in the country that sends its barbers to the Netherlands for advanced training.
